6000 something miles later...

Well I just thought I would let you all know that I made it and I am alive.

It didn't really feel real until I landed in Taipei and was suddenly surrounded by Asians and not really understanding a great deal of what they are saying to me!!

I've registered at the uni so I shall hopefully pick up the language quicker once I start studying it there.

It's been a stressful ol' day today. Bank cards and Taiwan are not getting along so well. Hopefully that will get sorted soon. I hope. But it's a day like today where I just want to sit down with a cuppa and a couple of cheeky biscuits. But what I get here is green tea and a weird cake thing (which apparently has meat in it). Now as exciting as that sounds, it doesn't satisfy one quite so much.

Though it is very exciting to see all the random and different fruits that the Taiwanese have growing in their courtyards. And we thought we Brits were cool with our tomatoes in grow bags.

all set on the plane with my wine.

my shrine to England and things that remind me of Britain and my friendlings.

the view from my bedroom

  1. Cuppa tea and a nice slab of meat! Doesn't that sound nice!lol! Xx

  2. A real cuppa tea would go down a treat right about now! Note to self...never ever again try putting soya milk in tea. It does NOT work!

Hope all is good with you guys. x

  3. Ha Ha! I remember drinking soya milk, It's interesting in tea!lol!!!
All is good thanks! Love reading your blog, it always makes me laugh! Your picture of the doughnut looks rather intersting!! There's certainly alot of strange food around! xx

  4. Well I am glad you enjoy reading my ramblings! I very much like receiving comments, makes me feel like I'm not just talking to myself hehe. Dude, it was a very strange thing to eat! Yes food is quite odd here, but they are using produce from their own country most of the time. So I think that's great, but on the other hand, I now really appreciate that the UK imports lots of yummy things for me to eat. I fear I shall gorge on the things I miss when I get back! Oh what I would do for some cheddar mash! x
